William Barrows
BLUEWATER — Memorial service for William J. Barrows, 81, will be 1 p.m., Saturday, July 16, at the family home, Bluewater. Roy Wagner will officiate.
Barrows died July 4, 2011. He was born July 15, 1929, in Davenport, Iowa.
Barrows served in the United States Navy. He was the owner/operator of Bill’s Foreign Repair garage in Albuquerque before his retirement.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy of Bluewater Acres; children, Debbie Murrietta of Albuquerque, Daniel Barrows of Virginia Beach, Va., Dawn Barrows of Albuquerque; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
Barrows was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Lillian Barrows.

Irene Joe
IYANBITO — Funeral services for Irene A. Joe, 54, were 1 p.m., Friday, July 8, at Rollie Mortuary Chapel. Elder Wagstaff and Elder Gasham officiated. Burial was in Gallup City Cemetery.
Joe died July 2, 2011, in Gallup. She was born Jan. 4, 1957, in Santa Fe, into the Sagebrush Hill People Clan for the Salt People Clan.
Survivors include her mother, Eunice Joe; brother, Anderson Joe, Wilfred Joe, Anthony Joe; sisters, Edith Woods, Caroline Joe, Elisa Yazzie.
Joe was preceded in death by Arthur Joe, Larry Joe, Ivan Joe, Ancie Jameson, Charlie H. Joe, Colin Nate Yazzie.
Pallbearers were Wilfred Joe, Anderson Joe, Brian Woods, Kevin Joe, Darren Quimayousie, David Yazzie.
Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Raymond Madrid
McNARY, Ariz. — Memorial services are pending for Raymond Madrid, 79.
Madrid died Tuesday, July 5, 2011, in Albuquerque. He was born Dec. 22, 1931, in McNary, Ariz.
McNary loved to fish with his grandsons and spend time with his family. He enjoyed working in the yard and playing with his dogs.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Madrid; daughter, Monica; sons, Richard, Roy, Eugene; sisters, Josie Madrid, Christine Madrid, Eleanor Madrid; brothers, Roland Contrerras, Victor Madrid; 12 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter.
Phillip Martinez
PINEHILL — Services for Phillip J. Martinez, 90, will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, July 12, at Pinehill Church of God, Pinehill. Brother, A.J. Williams will officiate. Burial will be in Ramah Cemetery.
Martinez died June 30, 2011, in Show Low. He was born Dec. 12, 1920, in Ramah.
Martinez went to school in Crownpoint and was honorably dischared on Dec. 29, 1945.
Survivors include his sisters, Bessie M. Jose, Elizabeth Cowboy; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.
Martinez was preceded in death by his son, Jones James Martinez.
Pallbearers will be family members.

Danette Rivera
ALBUQUERQUE — Services for Danette Rivera, 42, will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, July 12, at Legacy Church, Albuquerque. Private buril will be at a later date.
Rivera died July 5, 2011. She was born Feb. 6, 1969, in Gallup.
Rivera enjoyed spending time with her granddaughters. She was fun loving, made everyone laugh, had a big heart and loved everyone. She was a loyal Dallas Cowboys fan.
Survivors include her companion, Robert Trujillo of Albuquerque; daughters, Richelle Rivera, Raquel Rivera of Albuquerque; step-sons, Anthony Trujillo, Carlos Trujillo, both of Albuquerque; mother, Jennie Maldonado of Milan; sisters, Pauline Chavez of Albuquerque, Darlene Gonzales of Gallup, Joyce Estrada of Farmington, Brenda Estrada of Belen, Arlene Estrada of Gallup, Monica Sandoval of Milan; brother, Pete Maldonado Jr. of Las Cruces; three grandchildren.
Rivera was preceded in death by her father, Pete Maldonado Sr.; brother, Johnny “Bobo” Estrada; grandparents, Manuel and Juanita Maldonado, Manuel and Catalina Estrada.
Pallbearers will be Michael Hernandez, Roberta Aragon, Jolene Mendoza, Eric Sanchez, Hope Alonzo, Pete Maldonado III, Christopher Archuleta.
Edison Silargo
CROWNPOINT — Graveside services for Edison Silargo, 64, will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, July 12, at Memorial Veterans Cemetery, Fort Defiance. Alfred Silago will officiate.
Silargo died July 4, 2011, in Albuquerque. He was born May 30, 1947, in Dalton Pass, into the Water Flows Together People Clan.
Silargo attended Albuquerque Indian School. He was self-employed. His hobbies included leather work, beading and silversmithing. He was involved in the local chapter house.
Survivors include his son, Arnold Silago; daughter, Matilda Silago; mother, Mary M. Nez; sisters, Alice M. Warito, Elma Lee, Ethelyn Johnson; grandparents, Ben Morgan, Carrie Morgan.
Silago was preceded in death by his father, Peter Silago; grandparents.
Pallbearers will be Sonny Peshlakai, Daniel Morgan Sr., Judge Jackson, Elvis Silargo, Hector Esteran, Vern Begay.
The family will receive relatives and friends at family home, following services.
